All our buttons are hand and machine washable. We recommend turning your garment inside out or placing in a laundry bag for extra protection. After multiple washings, wooden buttons can take on a dull appearance. We suggest removing them from your garment every once in a while and conditioning with a natural oil such as coconut. The addition of beeswax also helps to preserve the wood's beauty. Always be sure to let freshly oiled buttons dry for several days before sewing them back onto your garment.

The wood used to make our buttons is harvested by us, the button makers! We use sustainable practices, selecting dead or damaged trees to process into button-making material. By employing this 'worst-first' method, we end up with a lot of spalted and character wood. Harvesting our own material also allows us to select out wood we believe will make beautiful buttons. For the finishing touch, a natural oil & beeswax blend is applied to bring out the wood's beauty and add a protective seal.

As makers we know you put a lot of love and time into your handmade garments, and we're dedicated to creating the highest quality handmade buttons for them. We believe a special handmade garment deserves a special handmade button (did we mention 'handmade' one too many times?) That's why we guarantee our buttons for life. If you have one break we will replace it free of charge. Send us a photo of your broken button(s) and we'll try our best to replicate it and send a repalcement off as soon as possible.
